Here is my G5A. I wore 2 N5A's for years and loved them. I bought a a New N5A for a good price and don't like the changes they made in the last 10 years. I think I'll sell it and buy another G5A and add a chinstrap. Not because I use it much, but sometimes when you go to a class, they get all cranky about it. It's also not that clean anymore.... ;-)
Here it is, my new n5a Cairns New Yorker... whats cool about it is that it has black tets on it so it doesnt look like they are on there but once light hits them, they turn silver. looks real neat!
These are the 3 helmets I am using today. The older R23 is a 1986 new yorker, the newer R23 is a 2004 N5A, and the R32 is a 1992 new yorker. They all have been refurbed. If they were not refurb they would be wall decorations. I also have an N6A that is really shot and has been retired along with my pre-impact cap helmets. Didn't like the N6A as much as the N5A's. I have tried the 1010's and they are ok but nothing like a leather. The Morning Pride Ben 2's are nice helmets and if I was not using a leather that would be my choice.
