My dept. had a structure fire 1:12 a.m. Thursday morining. The temprature outside was around 2 degreese. We had a severe problem with fire appratus pumps freezing. We had a member from a mutual aid dept. with a member from ours inside just hitting the hot spots. Rob was up on an attic ladder and I dont know if the hose pulled backwards or he lost his grip for a second but the hose on full bore came back and smashed him in the face. He was sent to the local hospital who then shipped him to another one. His injury is that he has two fractured eye sockets and will have to undergo surgeries. Please keep him in your prayers. He is a volunteer firefighter and very skilled and experienced, this accident was just that an accident....that could happen to any one of us...So please, just keep him in your prayes and thoughts that he will return to his full sight and eventually return to what he loves to do. Thanks
