Black turn outs and safety

What color of turnouts do you use and why. I can't imagine using black because if I go down in a fire, It will be harder to find in black.Yes , I get you have the pass device but sometimes hearing where the sound is coming from in the comotion is hard.I prefer the normal tan color.I clean mine after every fire.Be safe and God Bless all of you.

In Indianapolis we use Black gear. We have firemen go down in fires. Never had a problem finding them and pulling them out.
I have been through two TIC courses 1 My Uncle SAM taught me. The second was taught by a Boston Fireman from Rescue 2.
Guess what, we can find guys in black gear with or with out a TIC.
I've been on TAC calls, In heat and cold..MVA extrication, Trench collapse,Car into a building,Dive etc. Never got over heated or under heated.
