I noticed all day today how people are reverting back to a pre 9-11 state of mind. Has anyone else noticed this? All the talk radio shows this morning hardly talked about that sad day, the ones that did talked about the stupid idiotic theorys that need not be mentioned. I have seen no footage on T.V. from that day. It's sad but we need to think about those brave people every day. And not just the firefighters, medics and cops but also the regular office workers and janitors that just went to work.

hey justin i am in seymour,tn. and im a cable installer. i did not have to work today but i did have to go back to a customers house to get a signature for a previous job. when i arrived to get the signature, i knocked on the door and the customers mother came to the door and she knows i am a volunteer firefighter. she actually invited me in to watch i forgot what channel but they were playing excerpts from that fateful day. i got the signature and left. i couldnt sit there and watch everything that happened that day again and again
I think we should remember it to an extent, but there is a line between dwelling on it and trying to relive it, and forgetting it completely.

I know why it has changed our view a lot, you have to remember many Americans have no connection to these events, at least in their minds. I think we should remember this event but the constant showing of the images is almost to much for me, we must remember to keep moving, while still honoring those who gave their lives that day.
It is sad to say that people are slowly forgetting that sad day. But for many of us we will remember for the rest of our lives. The nation will remember forever as well but not to the extent that firefighters and other emergency personal will. That day not only transformed the nation but it also said something about firefighters and police and ems. And were the people that need to be remembering the true sadness of that day. I agree Brian that many Americans can not relate fully to the extent of that day. The people in NYC can but for the millions else where, all they had was news channels and papers. Just remember that every year on 9/11 you take a moment to remember the brothers and sisters that died along with civilians. and ask someone to do it with you. And maybe more and more will remember. But as Kelly and Brian said It;s very difficult to watch the videos and see it happen again. I myself find tears when seeing the towers collapse even today.
I just got back from the memorial event we do each year, and I have to agree. The number of firefighters turning out for the silent parade gets smaller with each passing year.
I agree we dont need to dwell on that day. But people are treating this like just another day. That is just sad to me I remember just after it happened every were you looked you seen flags people respected firefighters and police officers. On the local news a murder trial got more attention than 9-11 I'm not saying dwell on it just dont forget.
i will never forget 9/11 because tthat was the reason i wanted to be a firefighter i was in the 6 grade when it happen
the history channel has run a whole series today on the twin towers and 9-11 and I have seen a lot on the news this morning and the other news shows. I do have to agree there are many that have forgotten and those that don't want to remember at all and think that we should forget. I will never forget.
I believe no one has forgotton ,but time has gone by and it is time to move on... Since then how many troops have died in Iraq.. I try to think about them and how brave the men and women are of our country.. I'm sorry if you think this is cold my dad has been gone for 25 years.. I had to move on.. I think about him and miss him but even now when the day comes and this is the day he had passed has become just another day... Everyday a hero is dying I have to live for that hero for the day and prepare for the next ...
I actually think about 9/11 to some degree every day. That being said, I don't expect the civilian population (sheeple as I call them) to remember 9/11 until the calendar comes back around to September 11th of whatever year. Remember, we are the sheepdogs and they are the sheep. The sheepdogs know that there are wolves out there trying to get the sheep, while the sheep just go about their days oblivious to the danger. As long as we remember, the fallen from that day will not be forgotten.
