I know we have been discussing air monitoring in the other thread, so this is a little different. Does anyone have experience with the cartridge adapters and filters for SCBA masks. We are looking at purhcasing the Scott filters for our masks. I feel that, after air monitoring and O2 lever confirmation, we can save our backs by losing our packs. But, I want my guys to have full face and respiratory protection that is still appropriate for the environment. This is a very inexpensive alternative to SCBA when the environment is clean, but some protection should still be used.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Not sure what kind of mask mine is but its the only one I have ever used, it wants to fog up if you wear it without air hooked up to it. If thats the case it might be frustrating. What about just a dust mask and saftey glasses/goggles?
I use a product called Cat Crap that I got at a ski shop. It prevents fogging.
