Thank You,

If you have larger Departments around you that are getting AFG's check with them. We gave our old system to a small department in our County, you may be able to get someone to do the same.
FEMA grant was opened MArch 3 and the deadline is April 4th if you fill it via there web site if you mail it in it has to be posted marked by April 1st GOOD LUCK!!
We applied for, and received a grant in 2005 for a 6000 psi cascade system. If you show how it will benefit not only your department but the surrounding ones as well,, you stand a better chance of getting one. The training aspect is very big as well.
If you'd like to see the wording I used on the 2005 application let me know.

Yes, there are grants available for cascade systems. We were able to purchase a large in house cascade, and mobile cascade system for our rescue truck, with the grant we were awarded. However, I'm not privy to the details of how we obtained this grant. I do know though, that is was specific for a cascade system.
Too late for a FIRE Act this year, but yes; you can apply for a FIRE Act grant for a compressor and cascade under Firefighter Operations and Firefighter Safety. Contact Brian Vickers at www.firegraphics.com.
