girls being explorers?
ok so im the only girl in my post and an on top of that im the chief of the post. i get the feeling some of the guys don't like this but im not sure. especially since i beat them at some of our drills. do any of you guys have girls in your posts and what do you think about this matter? please let me.

well i usted to be the captain of my explorer post and i think that girls can do the job just like the boys can and if u beat them then that means they are doing someting wrong dont let it get to you ok. and when i was the captain of my post we had two girls but they did not take the post seriously and i did not like that at all so just keep your head up and your are doing a good job

I think as long as you are worried about being the only girl you aren't worrying about being the best firefighter you could be.

hey ive got 3 girls in the post and 2 in the engine co. i have no problem with them. they are really good at doing there job and getting it done right. i am a Lt. in the post and help whoever needs help but since ive met these girls, i have not needed to help them with a task EVER!! dont let anyone push you around cuz your a girl or cuz you have a skill. dont let them bother you just ignore them and give them proof that you are a great firefighter like the girls in my post.

ME AND MY COUSIN ARE THE ONLY GIRLS ON OUR DEPT. AND WELL LETS JUST SAY SINCE WE LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN EVERYONE HERD OF US TWO BEING THE ONLY GIRLS ON IT AND WAS LIKE "THEY ARN'T GOING TO MAKE IT" WELL WE PROVED THE WHOLE COUNTY AND DEPT WRONG DURING DRILLS.. THERE ARE SOME OF THE GUYS IN OUR DEPT THAT GOOF AROUND BUT IN THE END ALL IS WELL B/C THEY DON'T TREAT US ANY DIFF. THAN THEM AND WE FINALLY BECAME EXCEPTED AND WELL NOW WE ALL ARE ONE BIG FAMILY..LOL.. BUT AGAIN YEA DON'T LET THE LITTLE THINGS THE GUYS SAY SCARE U OR PUT U DOWN B/C LIKE U SAID GIRLS CAN DO ANYTHING A GUY CAN DO IF NOT BETTER.. SO GUYS U NEED REALIZE THAT AND JUST EXCEPT IT B/C NOW MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY GIRLS ARE JOINING FIRE DEPTS..

We had a Female Explorer at our post and there were no problems
i think it got the guy to work harder because they were trying to impress her.
This Female Explorer was great. She knew everything within 2 weeks and was on top of her game.
I thnk having Female Explorers is fine, i mean hey, if u want to and can take the heat, then why not.
We are all just part of the "family" rite?

Just to kinda throw something out there... in my Dept., we have 10 explorers, 4 are guys, and 6 are girls. The girls do just as well as everyone else, so yeah. They are great to work with too. Its kinda weird when your the minority (the guys), but none of us have any problems with them. Just my 2 cents....

I have two girls in my Juniors program. We did away with officers a couple of years ago because all it seemed to do was cause strife and personality issues within the group. Although it's nice to recognize someone as a leader we felt there was no need for the competition on this level. Things have been fine since and the girls are treated along with everybody else as equals.

we do at our fire house i think its wonderful that there girls out there that want to be fire fighters an i dont have any any problems with them most times when they need help they come to me an i help them with what ever
they need help with or i try to at least
