Just a heads up to all paid full time career firefighters .Please read your employee policy manual.My captain got injured on a job for profit,our city insurance will not pay his hospital bills .We as a department did not know of this exclusion.If you have encountered this or have a similiar story please email me your story and wht the outcome was.In need of help what can we do

If he got injured on a job, then it should fall under worker's compensation for the company that he was working for anyhow. This is no different than if you got hurt at work. That should not fall under your insurance either. That should also fall under worker's compensation from the city.
