On May 8th at 7:30 PM, author's John N. Maclean, "Thirtymile Fire," (Holt, NY) and Katherin B. FitzPatrick, "Angel Promises...Remembering The Youngest Firefighter," will appear and speak at a booksigning event at Auntie's Bookstore located at 402 W. Main Ave. in Spokane, WA.
This will be significant timing as the historic trial of the Incident Commander of the Thirtymile Fire, Ellreese Daniels, will be on begin on May 5th and is expected to continue onward over a space of about two months, in Spokane Superior Court. He has been criminally charged with all four deaths. This is a first in the US Forest Service history and a milestone happening which will be sure to set a presedent for greater safety for all wildland firefighters in the future.
