The LODD funeral ceremony for Spring Valley FF 2nd Lt. Jared Lloyd on Sat, 3/3/21,
will occur at Palisades Credit Union Park at 1 Provident Bank Park Drive Pomona, NY 10970 (next to RC FTC) Service begins at 11:00am
Please muster at the Rockland County Health Complex- Bldg ‘L’ (Social Services) 50 Sanatorium Road, Pomona, NY 10970. Each bldg has visible signs on the Sanatorium Rd. If the parking area at Bldg ‘L’ fills up, please use the parking area across the street or adjoining parking lots nearby.
Shuttle buses/vans will be running and making stops at all muster locations.
If any charter or school buses are coming, they are to drive directly to the ballpark and unload firefighters. They will be guided once they arrive at the ballpark.
Charter/school buses will then proceed to the Minisceongo Golf Course parking lot located at 110 Pomona Rd, Pomona, NY 10970. They will remain there until the ceremony is complete. Please make sure that someone remains in contact with your bus operator.
Note that 'Firefighters Only' will be allowed to attend. No guests please!
The ceremony will be closed to the public at the request of the family and, at this point, will not be livestreamed.
Please make every effort to limit vehicles to Chief cars and vans, etc. They are trying to limit all large pieces of fire apparatus. If a FD brings a fire truck, they will not be turned away though.
Personal vehicles are highly discouraged. Parking in and around the ballpark is very limited.
Ceremony begins at 11:00am, so try and be at your location by 10:00am the latest. No restrictions on how early you can be there.
Please bring food/drink & garbage bags for your firefighters so they can be taken care of prior to the ceremony at your muster area.
There will be food and drink after the ceremony at the ballpark.
Masks will be required inside the stadium and on ballpark property and will be enforced. Under no circumstances shall anyone bring alcohol unto the ballpark property.
Seating on the ballfield and in the stadium, should hold around 5000-6000.
There will be standing room and speakers located outside the stadium in the event, it fills up.
Please respect the residents who may live in and around your muster areas.
This event will end at 5:00pm and everyone must leave the ballpark .
When returning home DO NOT use Rt. 306 heading south towards New Jersey.
After the ballpark ceremony, this will be followed by a procession that will go down Rt. 45 to Rt. 59, up West St to the Columbian Firehouse for a ceremonial "Last call," then west on Maple to Rt. 306, then north on Rt. 306 to Brick Church Cemetery. Thank you all for your cooperation!
