The NFFF Stair Climbs are not timed race events, but a way for the community to honor and remember firefighters who have died in the line of duty. Each participant pays tribute to a firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Proceeds benefit the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of our nation’s fallen firefighters. In addition to climbing, participants may also wish to take part in a special Pentagon Run to honor those who died on 9/11 at the Pentagon. During this special tribute, participants will run the equivalent of the distance around the Pentagon.
