Firrefighter- because my dad did it and it just seemed right to do
EMT- because the training was cheaper and made as much as a cop

I was having a conversation with someone about solar flares, and I wanted to be a part of the group that puts out the sun to stop that incident from happening. Now my tags say I'm a firefighter...so look out sunshine....:)
Seriousely...as cliche as it sounds, I just want to help people. Plain and simple. If someone wants/needs help, I'm there as much as I can be.

I am a firefighter because it was something I always watched the rest of my family do, ( my husband, son and two daughters all volunteer in the local brigade) then last year I said well hell why not and it is the best thing I ever did, they are the greatest bunch of guys that could ever be. All just want to help the commmunity!

Family tradition, I was a few hours from being born in the firehouse and was even dropped in it as a baby, its been in my life my whole life span.....and I Like to Fight Fire and help others.

Was a good way to get away from the wife!. No just kidding. I watched my neighbors house burn down and found that i would much rather try to do something to help then to stand around and be able to do nothing again. I have loved every minute of it and if you ask my wife she would tell you it is just to get away from her because i'm always at a meeting someplace or at the fire house working around there or training with some of our younger members.

I grew up at the fire house, my dad has been a volunteer since graduating high school. As a kid I saw every thing that went on, and wanted to help the people in my community, just like my dad..... I ended up being the first member ever voted in while still kn high school. Now am an asst chief and love every minute of helping everyone in my town, and those surrounding.
