Compensation & Benefits - USD 95K + 35% uplift. Comes out to USD 128K - 25 Days vacation per year - 1 paid in full round-trip ticket to home per year - Medical coverage - Permanent position with the company (Not a contract)
OVERALL - To provide and assist in the provision of rescue and fire fighting services at Baghdad International Airport. To act as an integral part of an emergency response team. Work with the airport authority to educate and deliver Fire safety to the benefit of all airport employees.
DUTIES – To assist in aircraft incidents involving rescue and or fire fighting to affect control or containment of the incident
To respond to any emergency involving aircraft during the operational hours of the airport as required
To render humanitarian assistance including First Aid for any incidents of the airfield as required by the Officer in Charge.
To assist in fire fighting involving fires off airfield as required by the Officer in Charge
To assist in fire prevention duties within the airport premises including testing of fire alarm systems
Ensure that all emergency response vehicles and equipment are maintained in good working orser and ready for immediate use
To carry out special service requests (e.g. fuel spillages) as required
To attend training courses if required to ensure competencies are maintained at all times
To escort visitors around the Airport Fire Station or Airfield
To assist in the clearing of runway, taxiways, and apron area (e.g. foreign object debris (FOD), snow etc.) To take part in the on going technical and practical training within the airport as required
Be able to perform manual runway visual range readings (RVR) in the event of the failure of the instrument RVR
To perform duties in the airport fire service watch room as per the established procedures
To contribute in the general good housekeeping of the Fire Station
To complete reports and fire station records as required
Firefighters will be expected to carryout continuous professional development throughout their role to ensure that skills are current, relevant, and valid
