You also pay a ridiculous amount of taxes. Forget to mention that? You work 1 year in Iraq your first 92K is tax free. Then you get taxed on the rest and at that amount. So how much do you get taxed at 30K to 40K?? Next to nothing I'm sure. So 128K in Iraq mean 128K. Can you say the same about your 105K in Washington?
I have a Chief (163K + 35%) and Assistant Chief position (136K - 146K DOE + 35%).

Send me you resume and let's see whatcha got. Hope you have airport experience.
That was for Dubai at an Aussie Head quarter Air Base. Naturally, they want their countrymen there, but there will be plenty of USA and UK FF's there as well. Those positions have closed.
You mean this place David? I got a guy working for me that occupied it shortly after the US took over.

Who is the company providing ARFF Services now?

I got a little experience at the airport...

My son was there in 2003 ,Ithink there was some firefights going on back then . USMC
You need to be paid more, as do the others you mentioned. Keep at it, organize, politics!
I do not pay a ridiculous amount in taxes, about $12/13,000 (IRS), no state income tax, property tax on my house ($170,000 value) $1,300 and sales tax on all purchases except food. . And most importantly, I get PAID with tax money, as do the private FF in Baghdad. Be realistic about taxes, we all get paid by tax money, please don't cry about taxes, I am thankful for taxes. I do not think I pay more than 15/16,000 in taxes, which I get all returned in my paycheck.
