With you there Heather ... though my only thought is, how the heck do you forget a potato stuffed in there?! I think I might have noticed that ... no matter how busy I might get! LOL!
Ha ha I don't know either buy she was a rather large woman! My oldest daughter is a RN on the baby unit at the local hospital and they have women come in all the time pregnant and didn't even know they were pregnant!???? I guess crack or meth makes you forget about those things!
i was always told by the so called old guys that they will forget more than the newbies will ever learn . thats why it is best to hang around the old gus
This is how I imagine it played out...

Lady with an itch
Got some advice
Put a 'tator in your peek-a-choo
It'll cure you

Lady with an itch
Slid in a Baby Red
Damn, itch stayed
So the 'tater did too

A season passed
The itch sustained
Belly pain arrived

2nd Baby Red Considered
As the cure for all that ails

Settled for 911

Jack arrived full of care
Unaware of vines everywhere

The ER took a look
Found they needed a 'tater hook

Chips or Fries - O What to do?
Surprised it's not mashed
It grew, baby GREW

Doctor was shocked
We all were too
Next time she should question
What she sticks in her peek-a-choo
Ya know?!? I like your style!! Responding is also easier now that I have stopped ROTFLMAO
Dispatched to a late night MVA right at our interstate exit, little info given. The road to the interstate is a rural county road with several farms, so we didn't think much of the cows running loose along the side of the road while enroute. We even notified dispatch to start making contact with the farmers in the area. Once onscene we found an overturned tractor trailer hauling over 150 head of cattle. We had to call for assistance from all of our surrounding departments, along with several law enforcment officers, local Vets & farmers. Several of them was still trapped in the trailer & very angry. The rest either didn't make it or was making their way in any direction they could go. We had to shut down the interstate for several miles for about eight hours in order to round them all up. One cow in particular was very piti-full as all four legs was broke but that didn't keep it from trying to run. After pin-balling off a couple of parked Trooper cars it was finally lassoed until it could be put down by one of the Vets. Even weeks later we was still getting calls about cows in the interstate & being struck by vehicles. Several things made this funny & rememerable. First, after everything was done everyone had a craving for burgers & flooded the local restruant's. Second, I have never seen so many firefighter's & police officer's riding fourwheelers & horses rounding up cattle on a federal interstate. Third, many of the local farmers who's land meets the interstate all of a sudden had a few extra cows. This call definatley went down in our books as one to remember.
glad I could put my talents of random obscure banter to good use and amuse you :-)
Not long before I joined my first dept. they got called to a semi rollover outside of town that was hauling 350 head of hogs. One deputy told me while he was enroute he was trying to figure out how much ammo he had with his in case he had to put some out of their misery.
... sure... !?!

that is why he wanted ammo...

I bet he was thinkin' "Bacon for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner !"
Don't know if it counts but, working a sig-4 one night, I'm in the back seat holding c-spine, pt is removed and I look down between my feet and see an oz of what looked to be very good smoke, never know what you'll see or find on the job
Our Chief was the owner of the Harley Davidson shop in town that has a hog roast every year. He was thinking free pork. And then if Jack's lady was around could have had some great potato salad.
