Can you imagine? That would have been a hairy ride down.
Back in 1913, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a grain elevator tilted to a touch over 26º off of vertical. Very few cracks appeared and the structure was brought back up to vertical. It is still in use today!

It was being filled with wheat for the first time after being built. With approx 875,000+ bushels of wheat inside, one side started to sink. 12" in one hour!
