Well My brothers and sisters to the east of WI in the path of this snowstorm get ready, she is mean. I think we have about a foot so far and still expecting to get some more as the day goes on, along with high winds and drifting snow.
I worked last night for a while, before the bulk of the storm hit, and they were bringing on extra crews and sending a pump with ambulance calls, if anything just to help clear a path for the cot. I believe this may have been the first time that 2 guys were called in just to plow the stations out. I'm off today and no call for OT, but took me forever just to clear the driveway enough to be able to bring the wife to work. (yes, I have a snowblower and a nine year old)

I was surprised too. The snow was so wet and heavy this morning, but didn't have problem making drifts, especially on the roof, to clear out this evening.

Snow hurricane....yeah I guess, but typically don't have to worry about the house blowing away...which is good. However, you may have to worry about extra weight on the roofs though. Don't know if the next one will be "Billy", but if it is, I'll let you know and also if it is gentle or not. If we would get to snowstorm "William" though, then I may consider moving. :-)

the snow isn't here yet but we had horrible winds all day... it was about this bad when hurrican ike winds came up her 70+ mph

Ah Tom, over on that side of the big pond they`re wimps.....lol......We don`t start naming snow in Michigan until we push snow with the rig`s mirrors
That's funny.
Actually the nice thing with how GB is located, it really misses out on some pretty nasty stuff. We can have severe storms all around and GB seems to be untouched in most cases. Interesting to know about named storms outside of WI. Although the latest reports were this was the third most snow accumulation in state history for this area.

So sorry Bro. It is about 58 here and as slightly raining a while ago. So glad to be living here in the "Banana Belt". Bundle up there Bro and be safe.
