Thanks for the keeping warm tips Siren...

It is a balmy 38F here in Maryland today and I am a warm weather person!!

I am a firm believer in the chemical heat packs you describe. They fit nicely in boots to keep the toes warm or in pockets for the cold fingers to wrap around for a moment. Great investment!!

Keep Safe out there, all of you...
On a weather related topic, I was just informed that I WILL be putting up the outdoor decorations TODAY!
Yesterday saw freezing rain and gusts up to 25 mph.
Today, it is 42 and drizzling. Carhharts and duck boots will be the order of the day.
Hell; I don't even LIKE that damned Santa train. I want the deer with the heads that move.
Plus; they wouldn't blow over like the train does.
Dress in layers and put the coffee on.
Rook; that is just cruel. Don't forget the sun block.

Winter is here in Edmonton, AB as well. We have a warning that we will get up to 20 cm of snow by tonight. Plus with temps only 7 deg F with a wind chill at -18F I think I am ready to hibernate for the rest of the winter.
Aaaaahhhhh, I've got the wood stove cranked up, and its t-shirt weather inside the house. Sit in the recliner and watch the snow falling... wait for the inevitable tones to drop... I'M READY.
PLEASE REMEMBER : 4 WHEEL DRIVE DOES NOT MEAN 4 WHEEL STOP! It means you can just drive into the ditch with confidence, lol.Oh and as far as the Wood stove thing goes, ugh i have to say i'm envious.
My garage is heated and I just bought Chopper a coat for when we take our walk around the park.
I have cold weather gear so I don't freeze when I go out for a walk and a cigar.
Down in the teens tonight.
TCSS.
Under armour cold gear works great!!!!!!!!!
he may have delusions of grandeur regarding that, but I'll give credit where it's due...he probably CAN tell you precisely why the bridges freeze first, in duplicate. :)
Read my blog on Black Ice for some common sense thoughts.
LOVE Under Armour....expensive, but worth it.
We're going to get hammered again tonight!! I'm pretty happy about that actually, this is the winter I wanted to get back to skiing!! haha! We already have more snow this year, than we had by March of the last winter. It's awesome and it's going to stay cold enough that it stays... maybe that will mean an early spring!! Fingers crossed!

I agree though, take it easy out there everyone, be diligent and stay safe and warm! :)
