Job Function

Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
In 2002 I started my volunteer career at Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Dept. in Henderson, NC. In June of 2003, my family moved to a different part of town and I transferred to Watkins Volunteer Fire Dept. Due to a situation in my life I dropped out of the fire department and have yet to find another department to join. I am currently applying to the City of Raleigh for a firefighting position in one of their 26 departments. I still have all of my Fire/Rescue and EMS certifications. In Jan. 2005 I was employed by a private ambulance service that provided assistance to the Warren County EMS in NC. There I served as a driver/EMT.
My Training:
I have enough training to be considered a Fire Fighter II but did not go trough that particular NFPA school. I do have so water rescue training and Arson investigation training. I am now a Certified Corrections Officer with Sharp Shooter qualification with the departments Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To give back to my community and to help those in need. Oh yeah, to drive the big red truck with the lights and sirens, lol.

We had 2 other females approx. late teens to mid 20s, and 2 infants/toddlers. (1 4month old and the other less than 3yrs old. I stepped up my… Continue
