Hello all KC3TEC here just got general last month, we've been very busy(our club W3VV)
We are getting things around for CampJJ.
( CampJJ is a fun camp getaway for special needs children and is a lot of fun)
This years theme is space so we will have guests from Nasa coming to talk to the kids.
Our club is setting up gear to demonstrate radio equipment and are making up code charts and information booklets to hand out.
I've also built some code practice oscillators for the kids to use.
We may get lucky enough for the kids to talk to the astronauts on the space station.

I haven't been on the air yet due to the fact my morse hasn't been used for nearly 50 years.

There are several hams on our department, with me being one of them.I enjoy both, and my ham experience is an asset to me on the Fire Dept .

I started in the fire service as a junior, then became a volunteer firefighter in 1985, got my ham ticket in 1989, moved to the city, which made firefighting impractical for almost 20 years. Now I've been able to come back to firefighting since leaving the city a year ago.

The total outcome is ham for 22 years, firefighter for almost 10 years (total service record - junior time not counted) so far.
