Bad cashes and how you get over them

Went on a 22 year old young girl who was involved in a head on cash with a dunk diver. She lost everything from the knees down on both legs after her car cought fire.

But the reason I Became a fireman was because my brother Daniel Joe Spurgeon my hero. My teacher and my best friend. Was killed in Springfield missouri by a drunk driver in 1993.

I believe your not alone on this issue. Some we save some we can't. But to save the one's we can.Its
why First Responders are there. But leaving yourself alone to deal with the aftershock isn't going to keep you in the line of work. Seeking out a brother or sister to talk to is what i should of done. I've seen some bad accidents as well. Especially when the DOA is mistaken to been me. Looked like him dressed the day before just like him. Until I got on scene they believed it was me. The van looked like a hatchback car. A elderly woman had a cardiac arrest at the wheel northbound. A family of four was southbound. And it was the worst i seen in years. Seeing the man was insane. Imagine seeing your own death. Would you freeze? Unfortunately there are things in this line of work you can't forget. But its why we did it. Because most people can't. Running into the face of danger when others is running away is the fiber of being heros.
