ok what colors of helmets does your dept use and what do they mean?????? My dept uses White,Red,Black,Yellow,Blue,and Orange. White= Chief Red= Captain Black= Lt Yellow= firefighter Blue= Safty Orange= Rookie
We use ;
Chief and asst. chief's --- White
Capt.--------------------- Red
LT. ----------------------- Blue
FF, With ff 1 or above cert - Yellow
FF with only in house trainning ---Yellow with red strips on outside.
Safety Officer----------------- Orange
We use these:
Chief and Battalion Chiefs: White
Lt and captain: Black with yellow tets and white shields
Firefighters: Black with yellow tets and black shields
Recruits: Red modern helmets
We use white and black.White for chief's if they desire to use them.And black for all others.We have the helmet shields that ID the chiefs from the ff's.
White = all chiefs
Black = firefighters
Red = Probationary
For our Captians, Lt's and Chief Engineer we use different color Furnace sheilds on front of the helment. Like mine helment is black, but I have Chief Engineer on it
Perry Fire is transitioning under new equipment. As always, Chiefs and Assistants and White, and Captains are red. FF's were yellow, but we're going to black. We have added two Lieutenants to the department, and they will now be yellow. Blue is our Fire investigator.
White~ chief, 1st asst chief,2nd asst chief, & chiefs aide (made up position for older member)
Yellow ~ Lieutenants
Red ~ Safety officers
Black ~ Firefighters
the majority of fire companies paid and volly in our county are the same color coordination.
keeps confusion down on mutual aide. everyone knows who is what coming up on someone elses
jamboree.
