I dont understand why people feel the need to upload music video's on the firefighternation site !!! I feel that should be for educational and fire related videos....not 10 vids of OZZY. If I want to see them music vids, I can go to you tube, or what ever music site there is. Is it just me that feels this way???You could probably eliminate about 100 pages if you get rid of all the music vids.
I've often asked the same question about members posting pictures of wives, girlfriends, offspring and picnics. If we could eliminate 100 pages by just dropping music, imagine how many pages we could save by only posting pics of fire related shots!

I know you was just having fun...and you only have me by a couple of years gramps....LOL !!! Reg, I agree, I have them pics on here, but there on my profile, not on lets see your apparatus page.
And all the doubles that seem to get missed while doing a "primary search" before posting.
I waded through them song vids too, and while I, personally like the songs (I listen to everything), I also feel that FFN is not a place to post them.
Honestly, I think that some are posting just for the sake of upgrading their FFN status from "responder" to "salty dog" or something.
Ok fine... I was with you all the way through this discussion until you noted "slipknot"? Does this mean that I am really old not being familiar with this term being anything but a... slip knot? And as far as graphics, my motto is whatever it takes to get the point across and make what you are saying entertaining is a good thing, after all, it is a social site...
yes and remember..."I Didn't Start the Fire" Never go to a movie house and yell "Fire" or they might call "The Fireman" He has this "Burning Love" to drive tankers..draws water from "Bridge Over Troubled Waters"...so that they can put it on the "Burning Ring of Fire"...
Hopefully video categories are coming soon, that will take care of part of this and make searching videos easier.
We have considered restricting videos to 'fire/rescue' related only ... and still may ... but the same is true for photos .. part of what makes the site social is that it IS like Facebook but it's focused on the fire/rescue service ... that personal 'non fire service' stuff is fairly popular on here, it's not all the 'serious' content people plow through.
Totally agree they get in the way of an otherwise fine website. I could do with a few less tribute videos as well seems like we may need Ralph's help if we break an arm patting ourselves on the back
