Sorry I've been away, John. I got tied up with a family thing, which is back on track now. I can't remember for sure, but I think it's a model 1250 CAFS unit. Thanks for the compliment, and I hope I've been of some help.
we have 1 in service and just bought another one and love them but we still prefer Pierce
Wouldn't take one if someone gave it to us, too many QA issues. Would not even consider spec'ing an Apparatus with an HME chassis. My opinion having "worked" on them.....JUNK!!!!!
well there are both kme and hme
HME IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2009 1871 FIRE TRUCKS BUILT ON CUMMINS' DIESEL ENGINE. THE VEHICLES MAY BE DESIGNED WITH A HARD WIRED, DASH-MOUNTED SWITCH THAT ENABLES THE VEHICLE OPERATOR TO INHIBIT AFTERTREATMENT DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION IN ENVIRONMENTS WHERE THE OPERATOR BELIEVES IT MAY BE UNSAFE FOR ELEVATED EXHAUST TEMPERATURES. DUE TO AN ISSUE WITH THE LOGIC IN THE ECM SOFTWARE IN THESE ENGINES, THE SWITCH MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY, LEADING THE OPERATOR TO BELIEVE THAT THE SWITCH IS IN "INHIBIT" MODE WHEN IT IS NOT.
