Fire-opoly- Why is There no Fire Service Version of Monopoly?
Hey! Did you ever notice the plethera of "opoly" games? There's one for almost everything, exept the Fire Service. Let's get some ideas flowing and see if we can come up with something.

How do you like Wagon way, or Tanker Terrace? or the leatherheads landing?
Also, instead of trains stops, have the old style pull-boxes. I'm excited about this. I'll try and crank out some more ideas.
We have a dry-erase, white board at our station next to our kitchen table and I always draw a sign saying "box-alarm bistro" haha -

how would the game play, would you make money on spots/buildings that have a certian fire load or if they had sprinklers or not, Or would it be you build up your stations such as start with hand/horse carts and got up to pumpers/platforms, I think this would be awesome!
The tax spots could be engine out of service pay ect. -

I'm not sure yet, I'm still trying to iron out the details. I thought about calling the cards "In Quarters" (chance) and "On the Scene" (community chest). I'm still gathering ideas for everything else while trying to keep track of where those ideas come from so that I can give proper credit.

You could use the ranks instead of houses and hotels. Instead of having 1-4 houses or 1 hotel on a property, you could just have a different rank. Instead of ranks as property names, you could use different departments nationwide. Then when you own a property or department, the higher the rank, the more money you make. Let's say for example, I "own" FDNY or whatever department is used, instead of 1 house I might be a firefighter, 2 houses/LT, 3 houses/CPT, 4 houses/Assistant Chief, hotel/Chief. Not only would this make sense, but instead of having to have enough houses to be able to put 4 per property, you would only need to have 1 of each rank insignia per property. I guess this would end up with the same number of insignias as there would be houses and hotels, but I still think it's a cool idea. Railroads could be mutual aid companies, the more of them you have, the better the result.

Don't forget the taxes. These could be Union Dues and leaving work for response, lose x amount of dollars. Plus this covers volunteer and career departments.

Intellectual property brothers and sisters.
HASBRO will shut it down no matter the name. It is based off their intellectual property and easily proved.

I don't know if this helps but if you search chance cards on wikipedia, it will show you ones that are currently there, the ones that have been omitted, so on and so forth. This can give you some ideas. It'll also show community chest cards.

Just to add, I think the idea is to gather ideas from members here and market it to HASBRO. I don't think the aim is to get rich, but to simply have a fire service monopoly be made. Going through HASBRO and showing them that THEY can probably make a good bit of money between emergency service members,buffs,children that want to grow up to be firefighters, etc., may be a way to get them to run with it as opposed to shutting the idea down.

I like it. I was thinking fire hydrants. After 4 hydrants, you get a fire station. I like your idea better though. Keep 'em coming!
