ST. Louis FireFighter Shot and Killed Trying to help at a Car Wreck.

A ST. Louis Firefighter was shot and killed tonight . The Firefighter stopped to help what he thought was a car wreck. Little did he know it was a robbery suspect who just robbed a store and wrecked a car he stole. The robber then shot the ST. Louis Firefighter in the chest and stole his Fire Dept. Vehicle. The suspect then crashed and got into a shootout with police officers. The ST. Louis Firefighter was taken to a nearby Hospital where he later died of his injuries. The suspect was also killed by police. Let us take time to pray for his family and friends. Let him rest in peace.

That is so sad. My thoughs and prayers are with his family, friends, and co-workers.
This just goes to show that we are always willing to lend a hand when ever we see trouble of any kind. Thats our nature has emergency workers. We need to remember that no matter the situation we come upon, we need to survey the scene and look out for trouble. May this brother rest in peace, and may God watch over and protect his family and all of you.
My thoughts and prayers go out to family and al FF 's in the community
From the members of sta 48-1 send are prayers & condolences to the family & The St. Louis fire department
It never ceases to amaze me that we are out there to help people in their time of need and we so very often become the target of their rage, frustration, retaliation etc etc. I send this angel's family my sincere condolences and prayers. For the rest of us, please be careful in approaching even what seems a harmless scene. Stay safe out there.

Does this mean that we should stop trying to help in a situation of need, absolutely not. This is our calling and our duty. Sadly it does bring tradegdy sometimes. May God shed His comfort on his family, friends, and the dedicated men and women that he worked with.
This is a tragedy to the fire service in St. Louis. And a tragedy to his family. Best of wishes and heart felt sympathy to his family
My condolence to the family, the department and the community. You are with us in our prayers. Godspeed.
RIP brother...
How very sad that murder is one of the risks of being a firefighter.
May his family know that there are thousands of other "fire family" members who will pray for him , his family and his "fire family". I'm sure he will continue to watch over you.
To the immediate and fire dept. family, I express condolence on behalf of my family as well as the Barbados Fire & Rescue Service. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant ..."
Very sad what happends...
My codolence and prayers goes out to the family and the St. Louis Fire Department.
