Rochester Firefighters responded for a house fire last night on North Clinton Ave. While responding, the assignments was upgraded for multiple calls reporting a house on with fire people trapped. Quint 6 went on location with flames from a 1 1/2. Battalion 1 assumed command and reported a working fire in a 30×30 1 1/2 with fire on the first floor extending to the second. Two civilians were pulled from the house before firefighters arrived. There were some scary moments while Quint 6 was advancing their line. The fire rapidly grew, so command ordered an emergency evacuation. As you can see in the video below, one firefighter had to bail out a window. Engine 17 responded as the RIC while Truck 10 and Engine 8 were special called. The fire was under control in about 51 min and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
