Worcester firefighters battle major blaze
Short after 2pm on March 5, 09, firefighters were called to this Pleasant St apartment complex for a reported apartment fire. Upon arrival, co's encountered a very heavy smoke condition with people trapped.
After performing multiple rescues over ladders and the fire growing in intensity, co's were forced to evacuate and fight the fire from the outside. Several firefighters were injured, some burned after a flashover on the 3rd floor.
