Woonsocket (RI) 2-Alarm Fire
First arriving companies were greeted with heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor of this home on Unity St. shortly around 1:30 on Feb 19, 10. A 2nd alarm brought in the city's remaining engine and ladder company and an engine from Blackstone while mutual aid covered the houses.
The department's usual aggressive interior attack and roof ventilation kept the blaze from spreading from the 2nd floor apartment. I arrived 10 minutes after the alarm and the heavy fire was already knocked down.
