Willimantic (CT) Structure Fire
Willimantic Ct, 23 Chestnut St, At approximately 1050pm, May 6, 2010 a working fire broke out in the "Hill section" of the "Thread City". The Willimantic FD responded initially with 4 men on Engine 301, with a delayed response from Tower 101,whose crew cross mans the ambulance, was finishing an ambulance run and had to return to HQ to pick up the Tower Ladder. The fire was fought in very windy conditions. 23 Chestnut St is an apartment house that 13 Eastern CT State University students call home. All 13 were displaced by the fire. No injuries reported.
