NewsWorking.net - Shortly before 04:30, companies were dispatched to 3308 N. Ruch Street for a house fire with occupants trapped.
Whitehall Asst. Chief Kunkle (4A) arrives and has fire on the second floor of a 2.5 story duplex and a female still inside. As Engines 3 & 4 arrive, members from 3 start a search and engine 4 stretches a hand line to the second floor.
Moments later, firefighters pull a female out of the house in cardiac arrest. Firefighters administer CPR until paramedics arrive shortly after.
Truck 6 arrives and their members go to work venting the structure. The fire was quickly darkened down. Companies then proceeded with overhaul.
A total of 4 engines, 1 ladder and a rescue responded on the box.
