Kevin- Thank you for watching and commenting. You have a very valid point. It may seem like I took a lot of time setting up the camera. But In reality I simply set it on the platform and it got knocked around while I undid my seatbelt took off my headset and grabbed my radio. I aimed the camera at the house as I was getting off the truck. It was just luck It was pointing in the right area. I can't tell you how many videos of telephone poles i have since carrying the camera. Thanks again and stay safe

Great job with the grab. I do not want to take ANYTHING away from the efforts of you and your Brothers that saved someone's life. However, this brings up an interesting topic: firefighters filming and photographing before or during suppression and/or search and rescue efforts. Up my way we are experiencing a lot of this! Guys are so worried about 'getting the perfect shot for the website' that they forget why they are there in the first place! Video can be an incredible learning aid but when we have a job to do it is better we focus on the tasks at hand rather than making sure the camera is in the perfect position to capture the action...

Chaplain Jerry - That's a funny story. We were having our fire house Christmas party and we had Santa on the turntable of the the ladder when they put out the fire run. I was tilling the ladder and filming Santa's arrival with a small camera that I carry. We blew through the parking lot and into the bay to get our fire gear with Santa holding on for dear life. I will post that vid soon. It's a hoot. Thanks for watchin and commenting

Congrats CFD Brothers on this rescue!!! A great effort that needs to be acknowledged for quickly searching the floor above the fire. It is nice to see brothers getting it done up above the engine guys!
