August 27, 2009. VERO BEACH -- Just after 1 p.m., at least two 911 calls came in regarding a structure fire with a large amount of smoke at 3030 18th Street. Firefighters from Stations 1, 2, 3 and 4 responded to the scene and a portion of 30th Avenue is closed off to traffic. According to reports on the police scanner, a family lives in the house, but Battalion Chief Dan Dietz called in on the radio that the house was "all clear" of occupants at 1:21 p.m. Staff video by Keith Carson.
