Canadian Emergency Buff - On April 25th 2018 just before 10:00pm Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services was alerted of a possible structure fire on East Pender at Metropolitan Fine Printers. When the first crews arrived on scene they had smoke showing from the front & rear of the building. As crews were inside, they found the blaze to be spreading forcing the crews inside to evacuate and fight the blaze from a defensive attack. A 2nd & 3rd Alarms were called to fight the blaze bringing more than 60+ fire crews to the scene. The Hazmat team was called to the scene but were canceled while on scene as there was nothing they could do to stop the chemicals burning to the air. At 4:38 mark of the video you see part of the building come down. No word in what caused the fire to start. No injuries were reported & no one was inside the building at the time of the blaze.
