The interstate should have been shut down to make it safe!!! This was very dangerous letting vehicles pass the fire scene before or during the fire operations! Sometimes to make it safe for you to work you have to over ride the PD / law enforcement and make it safe for you to work!! If PD dont like o well!! The number safety is that of yourself and your crew, if you get hurt in the process your no good to the scene and add more work for everybody else.. Play it safe use that fire truck and block the lanes!!!!!! I dont care if it causes a traffic back up and people complain, better to be safe than sorry!! Also did anyone ever consider what was in the trailer, if fire had gotten to it , even though the tractor was undone from the trailer there was still the possibility of fire getting to it, I did not see any placards but this does not mean there could have been any HAZMAT on it, and all them folks driving by if there had been HAZMAT in it would have become victims!! Just play it safe shut the toadway down until you get a knock down on the fire...

I would be pissed if I was trying to work the fire with all the traffic flying past, not to mention the smoke covering the moving lane. Seriously dangerous.

so the pd just let traffic fly by the fire men that were working in the stree? wonderful!
