Third Alarm House Fire
Just after 1430hrs, South Whitehall companies 3, 32 & 11 responded to a house fire. A chief officer responding from miles away reported heavy column of smoke and struck a second alarm. First arriving companies found heavy fire in a 1 1/2 story S/F/D.
With lower manning levels during afternoon hours and 90 degree temperatures, the third alarm was struck at 1545hrs.
