IAFF - IAFF members are being targeted by political and legislative threats like never before. None of us can afford to sit back while our opponents launch these assaults. The IAFF is working on a multi-faceted public relations/media/communications initiative to respond to the wave of attacks coming at our members from numerous fronts.

Oh so now the IAFF wants to fight back and come together. Yet, I do have to ask where the IAFF was when we (Birmingham, AL Firefighters) were targeted for a 30% pay cut? I thought that our union dues were just as good as every other FD union in the country. I guess I was wrong. It baffles me to see all these protest and picketing going on with local AND International personnel, however I honestly feel like our calls went unanswered. Considering we were the only department in the city that got cut, I have to say thank you to the IAFF for your support, or otherwise lack of. The 25% pay cut we have gotten has really helped out with this already failing economy.........
