Charlotte Fire Dept. - (Charlotte FDNC, November 10, 2010) Charlotte Firefighters battle an early morning house fire in south Charlotte. Engine 9 was first to arrive and reported heavy fire and smoke emanating from this two-story home. The occupants who escaped the residence without injury informed firefighters two cats and one dog were still in the home. Firefighters mounted and aggressive interior attack and knocked down the main body of fire in approximately 40 minutes. Unfortunately, (2) feline perished and (1) canine was seriously injured. The origin and cause of the fire remained under investigation at the time this video was posted.
