At 1025 hours, Lehigh County Comm Center dispatched companies 23, 9 and 6 to 8633 Brown Street in the village of Slatedale, Washington Twp. for appliance fire in the dwelling. First officer arriving transmits "fire showing" from a 2-story S/F/D.

With a lack of a water supply, tankers from 3 counties (Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon) are called in to supply the scene with water. The fire burned out-of-control for over two hours. One firefighter was injured. The house was a total loss.
