FDNY firefighters battled a stubborn 3-alarm fire in a row of stores in Springfield Gardens, Queens on Saturday, Sept. 19th. Firefighters initially attempted an interior attack on the blaze, Box 4711 at 138-10 Farmers Blvd, but rapidly deteriorating conditions led to exterior operations. 4 Tower Ladders and multiple handlines were used.
