""PORTER TOWNSHIP (SCHUYLKILL COUNTY), PA - On January 8, 2014 at 16:00 hours the Porter Township Fire Department (Orwin, Muir, Joliett, Sheridan, and Reinerton Fire Companies), Tower City Fire Company, Lykens Tower Ladder, Williamstown Tanker and Tower City Ambulance, were dispatched for a commercial building fire at1720 East Grand Avenue, in the Village of Reinerton. The 911 center received multiple phone calls that the rear of the K&E Precision was on fire. The Reinerton firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of a two story machine shop. The fire continued to spread quickly through the building and moved to the front of the structure. Incident Command removed all fire fighters from the structure and went into defensive operations. He then ordered the tanker task force due to low water pressure in the area. Dump and refill sites were established and operated for over two hours. The fire was eventually knocked down to allow crews to reenter the building. Fire fighters were then able to over haul and extinguish hot spots. Operations lasted to and were terminated around 20:00 hours.
