September 3, 2009. At about 9:30 AM on September 3rd, 2009, a taxicab went up in flames on the corner of 7th avenue and 53rd street. NY's bravest NYC Firefighters were on the scene and proceeded to put out the blaze. I've edited the video because the commentary was especially foul-mouthed but watch closely for the back window blowing out from the heat of the flames and when the flames ultimately reached the video display on top of the cab, it popped with the loudest bang.

they are actually flowing out of the hydrant , now the ladder companies carry 100 ft of 1 3/4 hose and a smooth bore nozzle just in case they pull up on something like that
