August 31, 2009. Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) -- The Jamestown City Fire Department was called to the Cavendish Farms potato processing plant, just east of Jamestown about 1:30-p.m., Monday (Aug 31st). Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called to assist about 2:45 p.m. When the fire units arrived black smoke was rising from the roof vents. It was determined that the fire was on the north side of the building. The City's ladder truck was not available, so the City of Jamestown's bucket truck was used to look over the top of the building.
