Multiple Magnesium Explosions Make For A Difficult Fire Attack At A Working Car Fire
MABAS21 - Crews were dispatched to a reported car fire in the 3800 block of East 14th Ave, on arrival it was determined that the engine would not pump water. An additional engine was requested to assist, but crews were able to get the engine to pump water to extinguish the fire. During the suppression process multiple explosions occurred from magnesium in the vehicle. Nobody was injured at the fire scene.
