NewsWorking.com - Just after 22:15 hours, Lehigh Twp. Fire 47 responded to a report of a structure fire at Mama's Pizzeria at 4613 Mountain View Drive. Dispatch advised Chief 47 that he may have work there, as they were receiving calls of heavy smoke from the shop.

On arrival, officers found heavy smoke from the duct work in the rear of the two-story pizzeria. The second floor occupies an apartment.

Multiple companies were dispatched to fill out the first alarm assignment. Chief 47 special-called Slatington 24 for two engines (heavy).

As crews opened up walls, they found heavy fire. Bulk of the fire was darkened down in 30 minutes. Crews commenced extensive overhaul operations, checking for extension.

Companies 44 (Walnutport), 45 (Allen), 42 RIT (Northampton boro), 12 (Laurys Station), 14 for Air and Lehigh County 66 for Rehab were working the scene.
