Several firefighters and a tenant were injured ( non seriously) when fire broke out at this Hazel St. home around 7:30 on Dec 11, 2010.

Not only did firefighters face heavy fire in the basement on arrival, they had a ruptured gas line and live electrical lines come down to hamper efforts. An aggressive interior attack was initiated but the fast moving blaze forced firefighters out of the building and fight it from the exterior.

It took over 2 hours and 3 alarms with help coming from Millville, Northbridge, Sutton, Mendon, Upton, Douglas and North Smithfield RI to bring the blaze under control.
