""MAHANOY TOWNSHIP (SCHUYLKILL COUNTY), PA: On March 18th at 14:00 hours the Mahanoy City Fire Department (Citizens, West End, and Good American Fire Companies) and Mahanoy City Ambulance were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the Morea Road . The fire was reported to be near the Sky Top Coal in Mahanoy Township.

Citizens Engine 454 went on scene and found a fully involved passenger vehicle on the side of the road. Engine 454 crew advanced a foam hose line and knocked down the fire in the vehicle. West End Engine 465 arrived and supplies Engine 454 with its tank water. West End fire fighters backed up the Engine 454 crew. Good American Tanker 461 responded but was canceled on the scene. The Engine 454 crew remained on the scene to overhaul and investigate the fire. The vehicle was destroyed and had to be towed from the scene
