Large Junkyard Fire Fueled By High Winds, Lake Station, IN
From You Tube; LSFD was dispatched to a reported open burn with explosions just after 11am at 15th and Lake, on arrival Car 2 advised of a large fire and requested tankers from Hobart and New Chicago due to no hydrants. Crews from Station 2 made an inital attack with a deck gun, then advanced a handline to knock the fire down. Crews worked at the scene for over an hour and nobody was injured at the fire scene.
