A new house exploded on the southwest corner of 22nd Avenue and 55th Street on January 10, 2011 around 11:10 PM. Not much was left but a mangled mess and flames. Windows in homes broke for blocks and the explosion was heard as far as the University of Wisconsin Parkside Campus.
Damaged seemed extensive to a row of homes on 21st Avenue.
