NewsWorking - This is an 18 minute video highlighting the Allentown, PA Fire Departments Engine company 4.

Allentown is Pennsylvania's third largest city with a population of over 106, 000 inhabitants.

Engine 4 is stationed at the Central Fire Station in center city and is one of 6 stations in the city. Engine 4 is one of 7 engines protecting the citizens of Allentown, 24 hours a day.

This episode, Engine 4 runs 7 calls in about 8 hours. Our cameraman will take you inside the station, shotgun in Engine 4 and will take a look at what a firefighter does in a typical tour on the 3rd platoon.

The 3rd Platoon is commanded by Battalion Chief Greg Scheirer. The captain of the shift is Mike Scheirer, and is the officer on Engine 4.

4 brothers work on this platoon out of the same fire house. Roger Scheirer, the youngest of 5 brothers, drives his brother, Greg in the what they call the Front Car.

Fred Scheirer, is the Fire Marshall on the 3rd Platoon. The fifth brother, Robert Scheirer, is the Fire Chief.
